How do you get 30 minutes of exercise every day?

Are you always left feeling worn out by your hectic lifestyle? No idea how to fit 30 minutes of exercise into your schedule?

Or perhaps you haven’t done any exercise for a number of years, are out of shape and just don’t know where to start?

Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

All exercise, even light exercise, is good for your health. If you don’t manage to do 30 minutes of exercise a day or you don’t feel up to it, don’t let it get you down – even a little bit of exercise is better than nothing at all!

Start off gently with around 5-10 minutes a day and gradually increase the amount of time you spend exercising until you reach the recommended 30 minutes.

Start off with whatever seems easiest to you – you’re not expected to become an Olympic athlete overnight. Start within your abilities and work your way up.

Go walking with friends who are also up for it – you can spur each other on.

It’s not just about walking!

Your 30 minutes of exercise a day doesn’t have to be walking! Gardening, DIY, housework – it all counts towards your 30 minutes a day.

So, if you’re into your DIY, or you enjoy a spot of gardening, go for it! It’s just as beneficial for your health as 30 minutes’ walking – as long as you don’t do it sitting down, of course!

Find ways to exercise that you really enjoy. That way, it’ll become a part of your daily routine and you’ll look forward to doing it on a regular basis!
